SIAMS Report

Keighley St Andrew’s is a ‘Good’ Church School

(SIAMS February 2016)

I have now received the report from our recent Church School Inspection (SIAMS) and am pleased to inform you that we were judged to be ‘Good’ overall for our distinctiveness and effectiveness.

Four areas were inspected in order to make the overall judgement – The school’s Christian Character, Collective Worship, Religious Education and Leadership & Management - each of these areas was graded as being ‘Good’ also.

You can access the full report by clicking on the link below and I encourage you to read it but here are a few extracts from it

  • The passion, drive and determination of the headteacher, deputy headteacher and governors create an inclusive and distinctly Christian school serving its community.
  • Adults and children understand the Christian Values of the school and how these are shared and impact their daily lives, regardless of faith background.
  • Staff work relentlessly to help each child make progress
  • Pupils are confident, respectful and enjoy being in school

Thank you to all the school staff, governors, pupils and parents for your ongoing support to make our school so special.

Alison Bateman

Headteacher
